Sketch CFD Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information the Sketch CFD app for iPhone and iPad collects, why, and what choices you have. Sketch CFD is made by Omnis Dragon LLC, doing business as Journey On (“we”, “us”), 116 Agnes Rd, Ste 200, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919-6306, United States. We are responsible for the information described here; in European and UK law we are the “controller”. Questions: support@journeyon.co.
Summary
- Your sketches, projects, settings, and photos stay on your device. We do not receive them.
- The app has no account, no ads, and no analytics tools that record how you use it. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Apple handles all payments. We never see your name, email address, or payment details from a purchase.
- To check Sketch CFD Pro, the app contacts RevenueCat, a company that manages app subscriptions for us. RevenueCat receives a random purchase ID, the App Store records of your Sketch CFD purchases, and technical details of your device (section 2).
- If you email us, we receive your email address and what you send.
1. Information that stays on your device
- Sketches, projects, and settings are saved in the app’s storage on your device. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, they are included in that backup, which Apple’s or your computer’s terms govern. Deleting the app deletes them from the device. We do not receive them.
- Calculations run on your device. No flow calculation runs on a server.
- Photos. When you import a paper sketch or choose a background image, the app opens only the photo you choose or take. The photo is read on your device and is not uploaded. For a paper sketch, the original photo is not kept; a gray, flattened copy of the drawing is saved with the sketch as its traced image. A background image is kept on your device and is not part of a saved sketch file.
- Camera and photo access. The app asks iOS for access only when you choose to take or pick a photo. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Sketch CFD.
- Files you export. “Save as a file”, “Copy report”, and “Copy JSON” put a file or text where you choose, for example Files, Mail, AirDrop, or another app. The service you choose handles it under its own terms. We do not receive it unless you send it to us.
We do not send your sketches, photos, or results to any other company.
2. Purchases and the subscription check
Apple. Apple processes payments and manages your Apple Account under Apple’s Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). Apple does not give us your name, email address, or payment details.
RevenueCat. RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) provides the subscription check for us. It acts as our service provider (“processor”) under its Data Processing Addendum.
When the app contacts RevenueCat
When the app starts or comes back to the screen with an internet connection, and when you open the plans, buy, restore purchases, or redeem a code. This happens whether or not you subscribe. RevenueCat therefore keeps a record for each installation of the app that has been online.
What RevenueCat receives
- A random purchase ID that the app creates the first time it contacts RevenueCat. It does not contain your name or any other information about you. The app shows it in Menu > About Sketch CFD as “Purchase ID”. Reinstalling the app creates a new one.
- The App Store records of your Sketch CFD purchases: which plan you chose, the dates of purchase, trial, renewal, and expiry, the price and currency, the App Store country, and Apple’s transaction identifiers.
- Technical details sent with each request: the device model, the iOS or iPadOS version, the app’s version and build, the version of the subscription software, your preferred languages, and the App Store country.
- The identifier for vendor: a random ID that iOS gives to the apps of one maker on one device. iOS changes it when all of that maker’s apps are deleted from the device.
- The time the app last contacted RevenueCat and, as with any internet request, the IP address of the connection.
What RevenueCat does not receive
Your name, email address, phone number, payment card, contacts, location (other than the App Store country), photos, sketches, or results.
Why
We use this information:
- to turn on Sketch CFD Pro, restore it on your other devices, and keep it active without a connection;
- to prevent fraud;
- to see totals in RevenueCat’s dashboard, such as the number of trials, subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations, and revenue.
We do not use it for advertising or to build a profile of you. We do not combine it with other information to identify you. If you give us your purchase ID in a support request, we use it only to answer that request.
Where
RevenueCat stores data in the United States, on Amazon Web Services. For data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, RevenueCat’s Data Processing Addendum uses the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum to them.

3. Support emails
Email support (Menu > About Sketch CFD) opens a draft in your Mail app. Below a line it lists the app version, device model, iOS version, Sketch CFD Pro status, and purchase ID. You can change or delete any of this before you send it. When you email us, we receive your email address, any name your email includes, and what you send. We use it only to answer you. We keep support emails for 24 months after the last message, then delete them. Our email is hosted by Google (Google Workspace).
4. Information Apple may give us
If you allow it in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers), Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics for the app. App Store Connect also gives us totals such as downloads and sales. Apple provides these under its own privacy policy, and they do not identify you to us.
5. Our website
The pages at sketchcfd.journeyon.co are hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which may log the IP address of visitors for security. The pages use no cookies and no analytics.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines these terms.
- We do not show ads, use advertising identifiers, work with data brokers, or track you as Apple defines tracking.
- Because we do not track you, the app has no setting for “Do Not Track” signals.
7. Legal bases (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland)
- The subscription check: to perform our contract with you (providing Sketch CFD Pro), and our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and knowing how many subscriptions we have.
- Support emails: to answer your request.
- Camera and photos: your permission in iOS. The photos are processed only on your device.
8. How long information is kept
- On your device: until you delete it or delete the app. Copies in device backups stay until those backups are deleted.
- RevenueCat record: as long as we use RevenueCat for Sketch CFD, unless you ask us to delete it sooner (section 9).
- Support emails: as in section 3.
- Apple’s records: under Apple’s privacy policy.
9. Your choices and rights
- Use the app offline. The free features work without a connection, and the app does not contact RevenueCat while it is offline. Sketch CFD Pro needs at least one online check.
- Camera and photo access. Change it at any time in the iOS Settings app.
- Delete your purchase record. Email support@journeyon.co with the purchase ID from Menu > About Sketch CFD. We will have RevenueCat delete the record within 30 days and confirm by email. Deleting the record does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. While the app stays installed and goes online, the next check creates a new record under the same purchase ID. To prevent that, delete the app before you ask. If you later restore purchases, a new record is created.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws have similar rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them. To use a right, email support@journeyon.co. We answer within the time the law sets. To find a RevenueCat record we need the purchase ID; we will not ask for more information than we need.
10. Children
Sketch CFD is rated 4+ on the App Store because it contains no objectionable content. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only information that leaves the device without the user sending it is the subscription check in section 2, which contains no name or contact details. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
Information on your device is protected by iOS. The app contacts RevenueCat only over encrypted HTTPS connections. RevenueCat states that it encrypts data in transit and at rest and holds a SOC 2 Type II report. No system is completely secure.
12. International users
We are based in the United States, and RevenueCat stores data in the United States. Section 2 describes how transfers from Europe and the United Kingdom are protected.
13. Changes to this policy
We post changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change affects what the app collects, we say so in the app’s update notes before it takes effect, and we update the App Store privacy information.
